Krystele's message (Pt 2)

Uno is quiet, thoughtful and carries a dream bigger than his circumstances. He is the younger child of Ferdinand and Apple’s two children. His mother works long hours in a small print shop, while his father finds intermittent work as a caregiver. Together, they stretch their limited income to meet their family’s basic needs.

We met Uno’s mother years ago while teaching on Sunday afternoons in their slum community in the Philippines. Her dream is to see her children graduate. She places her trust in God praying that her children will be given the opportunity she never had.

Uno may be reserved, but his dream is bold. He wants to become a lawyer, not to acquire wealth or fame, but to defend the poor and stand up for those who are treated unjustly.

Access to education has not always been easy. But at People of Grace, Uno has a safe place to focus, receive guidance, and believe that his dreams can come true. Being in an environment where he is supported and encouraged has made all the difference.

Uno’s cousin is a graduate of our school and is now pursuing a nursing degree with ongoing support from People of Grace. This is what sustainable impact looks like—not a single moment of help, but a journey of transformation that spans generations.

When you give monthly, you are doing more than meeting a need. You are walking alongside a child like Uno—providing stability, opportunity and hope that grows over time.
