A Return to India
My first trip to India was in 2012, just before I moved to Canada later that year. By 2013, I had returned—this time with a team from Canada—to reconnect with the new friends I had made and to witness the incredible work being done to support homeless families. That trip sparked something deep in me.
Shortly after, I made the decision to sponsor the education of several homeless children by sending them to boarding school. What began as a small act of kindness has grown into a long-standing commitment. Since then, we’ve been privileged to support the education of children and youth in need across India.
Over time, Pastor Crosslin and his wife opened an orphanage that now provides shelter and care for more than 100 children—orphans, victims of abuse, homeless youth—as well as vulnerable seniors. Through the People of Grace International (POGI) Foundation, we continue to cover school tuition for these young ones, giving them a real path to a brighter future.
This September, I’ll be visiting India once again—the first time since 2018, when I traveled with Lauren, Ken, and Mickey. Since then, Lauren and Ken have married and had a child, and they’ll most likely be joining me for this special return visit.
